WIP – UNBEARABLEPosted: December 3, 2014
This morning I woke up at 6 a.m. in order to get an extra hour of stitching in. I wasn’t happy to do it, but after my first few gulps of coffee, the flow set in and it was not as terrible as you would imagine.
With the holiday music tinkling in my ear as a constant reminder, I am beginning to feel the pressure to get this major project done. When I was a child, my Mother used to leave notes from Santa’s Elves when a handmade outfit for our dolls or a new blanket for their beds wouldn’t be making the December 25th deadline. Unfortunately, this present is for a friend that I will be seeing before Christmas Eve, and I doubt an I.O.U would cut it.
(Sorry for the terrible photo quality, I’m away from home the next few nights.)
The pattern is Jingle Bears by Linda Gillum from Donna Kooler’s Second Edition Stocking Collection. The pattern has around 21, 400 stitches but I would say it is over halfway finished. If you don’t include the backstitching – let’s not include backstitching! At this time, words or emojis of encouragement would certainly be appreciated!
How about you? How is your Christmas Craft Countdown coming along? Any projects making you feel the holiday heat?
